Cathy Breslaw 'Material Visions' Exhibition, University of Tulsa, Oklahoma - Opening January 22,2015

I wanted to let everyone know about my upcoming exhibition, and lecture coming up called 'Material Visions' at the University of Tulsa, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  The gallery reception will be Thursday January 22nd from 5:00 - 7:00 pm in the Alexandre Hogue Gallery where the exhibition of the works are shown. Anyone living nearby please come! Public is invited..

'Material Visions' runs through February 19th, 2015 A combination of wall, installation and floor pieces comprise this  exhibition of mostly transparent industrial mesh,textile-like materials and mixed media works. Mary Kathryn Moeller, MA, writes in her preview article "Emergent Materiality" for Oklahoma's Art Voices Magazine: "Breslaw incorporates materials in order to explore two and three dimensional space. Such an effort is more than a literal aspect to her artistic practice. It is also part of her metaphysical exploration of the cosmological order of things.
